Wu Wang Apu (simplified: 乌旺阿普, traditional: 烏旺阿普, pinyin: Wū Wàng Āpǔ, jyutping: wu1 wong6 aa3 pou2) was a disciple of Lu Zhangke who helped guard the Six Great Sects prisoners at Wan’an Temple.
Biography
Guard duty at Wan’an Temple
Wu Wang Apu served as a guard at Wan’an Temple, where members of the Six Great Sects were imprisoned after being poisoned with Ten Fragrance Soft Tendon Powder (十香软筋散). He worked under his master Lu Zhangke, one of the Xuanming Two Elders.
Capture by Fan Yao
When Fan Yao, the Bright Right Envoy of the Ming Order, infiltrated Wan’an Temple to rescue the prisoners, he encountered Wu Wang Apu. Fan Yao used pressure point techniques to subdue Wu Wang Apu and hid him in a firewood storage room, allowing Fan Yao to continue his mission to obtain the antidote for the Ten Fragrance Soft Tendon Powder.
