Guan Mingmei (simplified: 关明梅, traditional: 關明梅, pinyin: Guān Míngméi, jyutping: gwaan1 ming4 mui4) was a martial artist and teacher in The Book and the Sword. Her nickname was “Snow Eagle” (雪雕).
Biography
Guan Mingmei was married to Chen Zhengde, who was known as the “Bald Vulture” (秃鹫). Together, they were known as the “Tianshan Double Eagles” (天山双鹰). The couple lived in seclusion in the Hui region.
They were renowned in the jianghu for two things: their “Three-Part Sword Technique” (三分剑术) and their constant bickering as a couple. Despite their quarrelsome nature, they were formidable martial artists. Guan Mingmei served as the master of Huo Qingtong, teaching her martial arts.
